Welcome to the Student Networking & Career Panel resource page for the TOPHC 2026 Regional Convention being held in London, Ontario on May 28, 2026. We are delighted to have you join us. Join us for a dynamic and engaging Student Networking & Career Panel designed specifically for students and trainees interested in pursuing a career in public health.

This interactive session offers a unique opportunity to hear directly from experienced public health professionals as they share insights into their career journeys, current roles, and the evolving landscape of public health practice. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, gain practical advice, and explore diverse career pathways within the field.

Following the panel discussion, participants are invited to take part in an informal networking session—an ideal setting to connect one-on-one with panelists, expand professional networks, and build meaningful connections that can support future career goals.

Panelists & Speakers

KRISTA MORRISON, BA, H.R. Diploma

  • Krista has over 30 years working in Human Resources with a specialty in Recruitment. The majority of her career has been in the health care sector working in one of the largest acute care hospitals of Canada. In the last 5 years she has been working at Public Health Ontario as the Manager, Workforce Planning. When providing advice to students, she recommends to keep the patient at the centre when thinking about career paths. Students are encouraged to reflect on their learning experiences and connect them to patient care, highlighting how their contributions have led to patient outcomes.

LIHN NYUGEN, RN, BScN

Education Coordinator, Toronto Public Health

  • Linh is a registered nurse with 25 years of experience at Toronto Public Health. Throughout her public health career, she has been dedicated to supporting and serving vulnerable populations. Linh has held a variety of roles, including Public Health Nurse, Health Promotion Specialist, Supervisor, and currently serves as the Education Coordinator. Her work reflects a strong commitment to workforce development, learning, and capacity building within public health.

REBECCA BROCK, BA

  • Becky is an accomplished HR professional with over 10 years of progressive experience across diverse sectors. She specializes in recruitment, with a particular emphasis on student and education hiring, as well as learning and development. She recently transitioned into the public health sector as an HR Student & Training Coordinator, where she focuses on advancing student hiring initiatives and coordinating impactful training programs.

TIM CRONSBERRY, RN, MBA

  • Tim Cronsberry has been on a career journey spanning 30 years – taking him from bedside nursing in acute care, to home and community care, to public health. He is currently the Manager of Infection Prevention and Control at Public Health Ontario, where he has spent the past 18 years bringing structure to busy PHO Teams. He has leveraged his Nursing degree, MBA, and a great deal of learning from colleagues to focus on influencing behaviour change. Outside of work, Tim is an enthusiastic backyard beekeeper, which has taught him patience, adaptability, and the value of personal protective equipment – things that are vital for a career in health care.

Conference Map, Classroom Location & Parking Information

We’re excited to welcome you to the TOPHC 2026 Regional Convention at Fanshawe College in London, Ontario!

To help you plan your arrival, you can download a campus map by clicking here. Please note that Fanshawe College Boulevard is currently closed due to construction, so we recommend entering campus via Cheapside Street. Parking is available in Lot 5 (General Parking), where a parking attendant will be on-site at the north entrance from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. When you arrive, simply let them know you are attending the TOPHC Convention, and have a paper or electronic copy of your ticket handy just in case.

The convention will take place in Building B. Once you arrive on campus, please make your way to the James A. Colvin Atrium, where registration begins at 2:30 p.m. You’ll be able to sign in and pick up your name badge before heading to the event which will begin promptly at 2:45 p.m.

On the campus map, you’ll find the locations of the atrium, washrooms, and your workshop classroom clearly marked. TOPHC staff will be on-site throughout the day to assist with registration and answer any questions you may have.

  • You may check-in at the TOPHC Registration desk, located in the James A. Colvin Atrium, inside Building B of the Fanshawe College campus.

  • TOPHC 2026 Regional Convention - Student Networking & Career Panel will take place in Building B, James A. Colvin Atrium B1046.

  • Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available

  • TOPHC 2026 registrants are asked to park in Lot 5 of the Fanshawe College Campus. Please advise the parking attendant that you are attending the TOPHC Convention.
